Bvlgari, renowned as the Jeweller of Time, introduces a mesmerizing evolution of the iconic Serpenti Pallini, brought to life by the Piccolissimo calibre, a marvel of miniaturized mechanics.

The Serpenti Pallini, adorned with a cascade of diamonds and the gentle rustling of gold beads, gracefully coils around the wrist. Its hypnotic emerald eyes, set within its dazzling head, conceal the playful passage of time, making each moment feel like a cherished secret, a whisper of eternity.

Since its debut in 1948, the Serpenti has been a symbol of continuous transformation for Bvlgari, offering endless creative possibilities. Its magnetic allure has evolved through the decades, unveiling new dimensions of sophistication and sensuality.

“This latest expression of Serpenti Pallini, named after the ‘small round beads’ in Italian, pays tribute to Bvlgari’s storied legacy. The design draws inspiration from the original Pallini, first crafted in 1955, which featured a five-coil bracelet in yellow gold and diamonds,” shares Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, Bvlgari’s Executive Director of Product Creation.

Blending high jewelry with the art of watchmaking, these secret watches now house the Piccolissimo calibre, showcasing over 500 hours of expert craftsmanship. The Serpenti Pallini, shimmering in yellow, rose, or white gold, and adorned with diamonds, gazes through two exquisite pear-cut emeralds. It serves as a timeless reminder to embrace one’s individuality with boldness and freedom.

Serpenti Pallini: The Harmony of Time
The double-coil Serpenti Pallini wraps around the wrist with a luxurious, supple embrace. Its daring design, inspired by the historic Pallini of 1955, mimics the scales of an exotic serpent, with each scale meticulously crafted from small gold beads or brilliant-cut diamonds. These are individually set on a gold mesh using a technique rooted in the ‘en tremblant’ method, perfected in 18th-century Paris.

“Serpenti Pallini is a profound nod to our heritage. We’ve applied a unique jewelry-making technique to our watches, seamlessly merging it with the precision of Swiss watchmaking through the Piccolissimo movement. This piece is a perfect blend of our Italian roots, the Serpenti motif, and our expertise in watchmaking,” says Jean-Christophe Babin, Bvlgari CEO.

Bvlgari’s patented technique allows each precious bead to move freely, creating a captivating effect as they dance along the curves of the coils. The Serpenti Pallini comes to life, each movement sparking emotion and inviting playful interaction with this enchanting serpent.

Serpenti Pallini and Piccolissimo calibre: A Heart of Artistry
Now powered by the Piccolissimo movement, the Serpenti Pallini is more captivating than ever. Crafted in Bvlgari’s Swiss Manufacture, this calibre is one of the smallest round mechanical movements in the world. Its compact size allowed Bvlgari to refine the Serpenti Pallini, achieving perfect balance in the serpent’s proportions.

The Piccolissimo’s remarkable mechanics enhance the Serpenti Pallini’s allure, offering versatile ways to wear it. The movement is easily removable and can be rotated to adjust the dial’s orientation, making the serpent adaptable to either wrist. The Serpenti Pallini becomes a playful expression of time, coiling elegantly and effortlessly.

This new chapter introduces three jeweled variations of the Serpenti Pallini: diamond-set in white gold, a combination of white and rose gold, and a blend of white and yellow gold. The yellow gold variant marks a contemporary return to its radiant brilliance, infusing the Serpenti Pallini with a touch of vintage charm.
